Crazy 8-Ball Card Game Rules

This is the Wild Guess Games card game, not the Roblox pool game and not the shedding game Crazy Eights.

Wild Guess Games, in Atlanta, publishes Crazy 8-Ball as a boxed two-player game. The product page lists 120 cards plus one rules sheet, ages 10 and up, and a play time of about 15 minutes. Their contact line is [email protected] and 1-833-444-8377. Buy links on that page go to the official shop and to Amazon ASIN B0GJG1X8QD. I am not quoting a dollar price, because the Amazon price moves and I did not capture one on 3 Nov 2026.

The official rules PDF is version 1.10. The deck adds up like this: one 8-Ball card, seven solid pool-ball cards, seven striped pool-ball cards, 28 cue sticks, 28 cue balls, eight blocks, 35 pockets, and six pool-table cards. That is 120.

Setup, shortened from that PDF: the dealer picks solids or stripes and the other player takes the other set, laid in a row. The dealer builds a table from the pool-table cards. The 8-ball card sits beside it. Each player draws four cards. The rest form a draw pile, with a discard pile next to it.

Pocketing one of your balls means stacking a matching cue stick, cue ball, and pool ball, then playing a pocket card of that color. On your turn you either discard one card to take the top of the discard pile, or discard and then draw one from the draw pile. You discard before you draw, and a drawn card stays. Either player may play a pocket card, including onto the other player’s stack. That is the sabotage. You win by clearing your seven balls and then pocketing the 8.

My read of those rules: a 15-minute game for exactly two people, with planning and a way to mess up the other stack. “Fun” is my reaction to the sabotage rule, not a score from a review site. I did not find a captured BoardGameGeek rating to cite. The full diagrammed rules stay on the official how-to-play page and the v1.10 PDF. Back to the five-way name check.
